Learn to Read Music and Sight-Sing: A Five-Week Introduction

Have you ever wished you could look at a piece of music and understand what you’re seeing? Perhaps you’ve sung in choirs for years but never learned to read music, or maybe you’ve always wanted to develop your musical confidence and independence.

This friendly five-week course will be delivered by Jonathan Delbridge and is designed for adult learners who would like to gain a practical introduction to reading music and sight-singing in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Over five weekly sessions, we will explore the fundamentals of music notation, rhythm, pitch and scales, helping you build the skills needed to follow a musical score and sing simple melodies from written notation. Each session combines explanation, practical exercises, and opportunities to sing together.
